Thai Bento Express

My family opened an authentic Thai restaurant in Encinitas, California, USA in the late 80’s called Siamese Basil where I worked in the early 10’s having recently before discovered my interest in the Thai cuisine which has since expanded to Japan and the Japanese cuisine as well where I have travelled several times to take sushi courses and afterwards worked in sushi restaurants in Zurich, Switzerland. However, as I gathered experience one idea became more and more prevalent on my mind: to open my own restaurant. As my main areas of expertise are the Thai and Japanese cuisines respectively I wanted to combine them and offer up something contemporary yet still authentic and this is the result of that.
